FALL 2022 RECREATIONAL SOCCER PROGRAM

What’s New for Fall 2022?

Our U4 program will now be called KiddieKicks and will include U3 and U4 players (born in 2019 and 2020). This is a physical development program that uses a variety of fun soccer-based games to delight and engage kids in physical activity.
We will have one registration link for the U3/U4 group and a separate registration link for everyone else.
U5/U6, U7/U8 and U9/U10 teams will be gender specific, forming all girl teams and all boy teams.
U11/U12 and middle school teams will remain co-ed, but if we have enough to split by gender, we will do so.
Early bird pricing will end sooner, and late registration fees will increase by $20.
Each age group will have the same color of game jersey. Coaches will be given pinnies to distinguish between the two teams on game day.
All games will be played on Sunday afternoons at 1, 2:30, or 4.

Important Dates – Fall 2022

June 26^th – Early Bird Discount ends

July 31st – Registration closes

August 15^th – Coaches Meeting

September 1^st – Coaches begin contacting players

September 5^th – Practices begin (older teams may start the week prior)

September 11^th – Games begin

October 30^th – Season ends

VCYSA is now accepting registrations for the Fall 2022 season.

Registration closes on July 31st!

Early bird pricing now through June 26th
- U3- U4 (born in 2020-2019) is $75
- U5-U15 (born 2018-2008) is $100 (not in high school)
Late registrations June 27^ththrough July 30^th
- U3-U4 (born in 2020-2019) is $95
- U5-U15 (born 2018-2008) is $120.

AGE GROUPS:

Age groups are based on birth year, not actual age. The “soccer calendar year” as of August 1, 2022, is 2023. You simply take the “soccer calendar year” which is 2023 for the Spring season and subtract your child’s birth year. For example, if your child was born in 2015:
2023 – 2015 = 8. This child would be a U8 player.
U3 and U4 (birth year of 2020-2019). Co-ed
U5 and U6 (birth year of 2018-2017) – we combine and call U6. (all girls teams, all boys teams)
U7 and U8 (birth years of 2016-2015) – we combine and call U8. (all girls teams, all boys teams)
U9 and U10 (birth years of 2014-2013) – we combine and call U10. (all girls teams, all boys teams)
U11 and U12 (birth years of 2012-2011) – we combine and call U12. Co-ed
U13 -U15 (birth years of 2010, 2009, 2008) – we combine and call middle school. Co-ed
