VCYSA to host the 2014 Indiana Soccer Cup Games

Indiana Soccer ( and the Tournament and Cup Committee (TCC) selected the host sites for the 2014 Indiana Soccer Cup games, including State Cup, Presidents Cup, Challenge Cup and the newly added Hoosier Cup.  The Vigo County Youth Soccer Association - a member club of Indiana Soccer - and Springhill Soccer Complex is one of four sites, including Fort Wayne, Westfield and Columbus, to be chosen as host sites for the Preliminary rounds.

The Indiana Soccer Cup games are statewide events with participating teams from across Indiana that compete in multiple brackets in the Preliminary rounds held at the selected sites the weekend of May 16-18.  There are various levels of progressive competition in each event with the bracket winners advancing to the Finals round to be held the weekend of May 30-June 1 in Westfield, Indiana.   Indiana Soccer is a member of US Youth Soccer, US Adult Soccer and US Soccer.

The selection of the Springhill Soccer Complex by the TCC included a site visit and tour of the 50 acre complex that is used for travel and recreational soccer programs and will provide a fantastic venue to host the 2013 Indiana Soccer Cup games. The feedback from the TCC representatives was very positive. The experience and success in hosting tournaments, like the Midwest Soccer Classic, was an important factor in the selection process and choosing the VCYSA and Springhill Soccer Complex as a host site.
