Mike Aycock;Director of
Coaching, U11-U14, Middle School
Mike is one of the founding members of our organization. He has been
involved in coaching youth soccer for nearly thirty years. He is the former
coach of the ISU Men, Terre Haute South Girls, and is presently Head Coach
at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. He holds a USSF (United States Soccer
Federation) B and Youth National License. He is also well-respected and
recognized in IYSA (Indiana Youth Soccer Association) as a one of the best
staff coaching instructors in the state. In addition, he is an Indiana ODP
(Olympic Development Program) Head Coach and has served that program for
twenty years. We are extremely fortunate to have such an experienced and
knowledgeable soccer expert in our club!
Bryan Michel: Director of U9 Academy; Director of
Coaching; U9/U10
Bryan is Assistant Soccer Coach/Recruiter at St. Mary-of-the-Woods
College. He holds a USSF C and National Youth License. He also holds a
Regional Goalkeeper Diploma and National Youth Diploma from NSCAA (National
Soccer Coaches Association of America). In addition, he is a Head Coach for
Indiana ODP. Bryan played four years of varsity soccer at Hanover College.
He has been coaching and training VCYSA players for several years. He'll now
serve as Director of our U9 Academy (see related article for more on U9
Academy). And, he will work with Rec and Travel coaches and players in the
U9 and U10 divisions.
Greg Ruark; Director of Coaching, U7/U8
Greg is the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach and formerly the Men's
Assistant Soccer Coach at DePauw University. He is also the former Head
Coach of Men's and Women's Soccer at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. In
addition, Greg coached for five years at the Carlisle School in
Martinsville, Virginia. He holds a NSCAA National Diploma and played four
years of varsity soccer at Ball State University. Also, he is coaching the
VCYSA U18 Girls ISL (Indiana Select League) team. Greg's work will be
primarily on the Recreational side of our club as he will be working with
U7/U8 coaches and players, so look for Greg at the fairgrounds.
